My Books: Starring...

Since I have one book in print, and two more in the works, I thought I’d have extra fun with this week’s Buzz Girls topic and cast all three.

Top Ten Uses for an Unworn Prom Dress

For Nicolette, I choose Brittany Snow--a perfect physical match, and an actress I enjoyed in John Tucker Must Die.

Jesse Bradford from Bring It On, who I know is too old to play a 17 year-old now, will always be Jared to me.

How to Hook a Hottie

For pretty, serious Kate, I like Katie Holmes in her pre-Tomkat days, when she was lit up the screen in Dawson’s Creek.

For her guy-pal, Dal, a somewhat younger Adam Brody would be fabu!

The ABC’s of Kissing Boys

To play the suddenly unpopular Parker, I’d go for the actress who starred in Accepted and played Bridget in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Blake Lively.

And for her “Personal Trainer”, Tristan, I’d love to see Tom Welling from the early years of Smallville.

Thanks to Steph Hale for coming up with this fun idea!

These casts look awesome! Tom Welling is a pure cutie! I would suppose he'd fit well into any teen novel. And I just love Adam Brody. Having just discovered THE O.C. on SoapNet about a month ago, I love him to death. Went to see IN THE LAND OF WOMEN this weekend and he was quite powerful in that.

Marley = )

Tina,
I think Brittany Snow would be a perfect Nicolette! I love all these actors especially Blake Lively, she's a doll! Looking forward to the other two books!

How great, Tina. I love that you picked starlets that have done pretty major things but that aren't totally world famous--well, except for Katie!

And (here's our first double casting, Steph) one of your heroes matches mine, though you'll have to tune in tomorrow to find out which one.

Hugs,
TLC

Wow, Tina, you picked some cuties!!! A great selection. I had to do this for a guest blogging and it was tough! :) Can't wait until your other releases hit shelves!

Hi Tina,
I've always loved Brittany Snow from her days on American Dreams and she would be a perfect Nicolette. Now...about her dad...

Marley, I want to see THE LAND OF WOMEN--thanks for that reminder!

Steph, yes, Brittany and Blake are beautiful and really fit my mind's eye for those characters. If only, right?

TLC, looking forward to seeing our overlap tomorrow!

Kelly, how did I miss your guest blogging of actors for GRAFFITI GIRL?

Janie, when you say "about her dad", do you mean Nicolette's? Wow, now there's another blog topic, huh? Our heroine's dads!

Thanks, ladies!

Brittany really is adorable. I loved her in John Tucker Must Die. But she really showed her acting ability when she was on NIP/TUCK. She was freaky psycho.

Oh, I missed Brittany on NIP/TUCK. (Have to add another show to my Netflix list!)

Brittany Snow and the guy from Bring It On are SO perfect for 10 Things. And I pictured Rascal as Whitney from the early seasons of Smallville.
As for the other casting, I just can't wait to read the books!!

Ooops, I said 10 Things, but I meant "10 Uses"--duh! That's actually funny though, because I pictured Nicolette as Julia Styles little sister from 10 Things I Hate About You. Very similar to Brittany Snow, I think.

TinaFerraro said...

Alex, have you HIT it for an actor for Rascal! I checked him out on IMDB and you're a genius!

Tina

P.S. And so glad you're anxious to read the other books!

Thanks, Natalie!

I think. LOL. Remember, my Italian is BAD, but I'm pretty sure that translates to said, "How cute!" I know people refer to kids as "caro" and "cara". Did I get it right???

Wow -- a three-fer! I love Tom Welling, Tina. What a great pic. Finally picked up the book today at B & N and can't wait to read it!

Natalie said...

You're right, Tina...it means "How cute!" And you're also right about the "Caro" and "Cara" which means "dear" (can also mean "dear" as in expensive, too).

Brava! :-)

TinaFerraro said...

Natalie--come to think of it, I've often heard my relatives utter, "troppo caro" over prices!

And thanks, Heather, and hope you like the book!
