Here is the book trailer:
It really is a unique twist on ghosts and I couldn't put it down. But just in case you still aren't convinced, you can read the first chapter here:

It's the perfect book with Halloween right around the corner! I'm going to give away my copy to a random commenter. Tell me what your favorite Halloween costume was that you wore growing up. You have until Sunday, September 26 at midnight to comment!

My favorites were a picnic table one year and a light up Christmas tree another year!
ReplyDeleteOne year I dressed up like a piece of bubble gum. I wore pink pants, a pink shirt, pink shoes, pink socks, a pink bandanna over my hair, and I painted my hair pink. I have out pieces of Double Bubble all night!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Steph! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteLast year I was actually a steampunk cowgirl. I had on a flannel shirt, jeans, cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, a hand piece that looked like the one Beyonce wears in the Single Ladies video, and a magniying glass that kind of flipped over my eye. I got so many compliments on it that I think that I'm going to go as a steampunk pirate this year.
ReplyDeleteGrowing up I was the simple sheet with two eyeholes kid. Nowadays I have my very own witch costume, complete with streacky gray hair, pointed hat, and a tiny witch sidekick on a broom that I hold in my hands when I meet the kids at the door. Halloween is still my favorite holiday.
ReplyDeleteI loved dressing up as a witch or a vampire nearly every year!

I've been wanting to read this book for a while. It sounds so amazing!
ReplyDeleteI guess my favorite Halloween costume would have to be a witch, since that was what I dressed up as 99% of the time growing up. :P
Great post! I LOVE costumes and dressing up!!!! The weird part is, though, I keep going over and over it in my mind, and I can't think of any of my Halloween costumes as a kid--I remember costumes I used to dress up in to play, and costumes for drama club (pumpkin, dictionary, clown, turkey, robot, turkey), and I remember my costumes from college and as an adult...I remember some years that it had already snowed, so we had to wear costumes over our snow suits--I remember make-up and spirit gum, and fake scars, I even remember my sister's Halloween costumes...but mine are a complete blank.
ReplyDeleteyou did say my favorite Halloween costume growing up, however, you didn't say it actually had to be mine ;) So one of the best ones I remember from grade school, is one of my friends dressing up as a bag of jellybeans--Her whole costume was tons of colored balloons--It looked awesome!!! But I don't think she was able to sit down all day, or at least not near anyone or anything, for fear of popping!
My fav costume was donning a black leather jacket and wearing black t-shirt and matching pants and mussing up my hair. Can you guess who I am? I'm author Neil Gaiman. Of course no one else got it either.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for commenting everyone!
