I could go on and on about how I've been won over by ebooks--but I'll try not to...

I still love the smell and feel of REAL books--but as a lifelong bookhoarder, the Nook was the best investment I could have made--and it's paid for itself well over with all the free ebooks I download!!! I love that I can pick up all the classics that I want to and catch up, or that when I go on vacation--or even to work, I don't have to worry about leaving any of my favorites or new books behind, they're always with me.

I've read Ghost Huntress: The Counseling, Forgive My Fins, Lifted, and Never Cry Werewolf all on my Nook!!!!--And all before the bookstores even open--another big advantage to being able to download books!!!

@Jessica I totally heart the Sudoku feature!!!!

@Rachel and anyone else who's looking--Overall I LOVE my Nook, but that's not to say there weren't some kinks to sort out---Like I said, I can go on and on...but I researched this a lot before I bought it, but still there were a lot of things I didn't find out until I actually had it in my hands. It doesn't feel kosher to pimp my blog--but if any of want more info before you buy, I've written like three posts about the process--I think you can just click on my name to find my blog if you're interested...Best of luck, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine!!!nymfauxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01573887455015014792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33681077.post-86862210827170537432010-09-22T12:09:33.400-07:002010-09-22T12:09:33.400-07:00Rachel...one thing that (to me) makes the Nook sup...Rachel...one thing that (to me) makes the Nook superior is because the Kindle is proprietary only to Amazon.com downloads. I'm with you that my heart still belongs to the printed book, but for storage and traveling purposes, it's great. Plus I can play soduko anytime! :)Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06493359469313592497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33681077.post-70485514609307004462010-09-22T10:24:23.915-07:002010-09-22T10:24:23.915-07:00I really want a Kindle for Christmas. Nothing could ever replace a real book though. :) And I really need to read Forget You. Jen is so fabu. I bet Midge appreciates you dropping the extra book weight too. :)stephhalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15836703686468306571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33681077.post-86299472138590059672010-09-22T09:19:32.025-07:002010-09-22T09:19:32.025-07:00I recently re-read Edgar Rice Burroghs "John ...I recently re-read Edgar Rice Burroghs "John Carter of Mars" series on my...wait for it...wait for it...iPod! 3" x 2" of pure pixel pleasure. LOVE the convenience, but miss the paper format, so I continue to read and buy in both formats.

One thing I am really liking is the free first chapter downloads. With so many books out there, it helps me narrow down my choices and make the most of my limited reading time.

A perfect example is FORGET YOU by Jennifer Echols! I downloaded the first chapter and got so hooked that I ordered it in paperback to take with me on my trip to Hawaii next month!TinaFerrarohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14356148823775352938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33681077.post-31818724783478763652010-09-22T05:46:26.721-07:002010-09-22T05:46:26.721-07:00I am getting an e-reader for Christmas and have be...I am getting an e-reader for Christmas and have been going back and forth over kindle or Nook, so thanks for the review!

I just finished Forget You, too, and loved it. Jenn is one of my favorite authors, you are so blessed to have her as a friend and CP . . . and I am sure she feels the same about you! :-)

Happy Writing!Rachel Harrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02711443001167188505noreply@blogger.com
