Prompted by some of the answers I received in my Contest of Olympic Proportions over the past couple of weeks, I've been wondering about who our blog readers really are. (We assume there are a bunch of you out there, since we're getting tons of hits, but you don't speak up a lot.)
So, in a completely clever and wonderfully purple way, I'd like to find out a little more about Y-O-U! It's easy. Just check out the poll below. Select the answer that best describes why you're at the Buzz Blog. Then click VOTE.
And if you feel inclined to say a little more about yourself by way of introductions, well, then, that's what comments are for, right? (By the way, I think I totally overused commas in that last sentence.)
Hugs,
TLC

Great poll! I'm an "other" since I'm not yet published but will be soon! :)
I'm an "other" because I'm a mixture. I'm an aspiring author, and a fan of YA lit in general. Plus, I was impressed by Buzz Girl Tina Ferraro. She was nice enough to comment on my blog about my meeting with her editor Krista Marino. I love to support authors who are not only talented, but nice as well. I'm also impressed with the book giveaways that you all do on your blog here. I love how Buzz girls are not just about yourselves, but you support other authors (and aspiring authors) as well! You've inspired me to do giveaways on my blog as well!
The caption contests are fun too! :0)
I am so excited about this poll, TLC, because the more we know about our readers, the more we can, well, bond. :)
And Christy, it was so nice of you to cite me in your comment. I enjoy chatting with you and seeing you here, although apologies that I haven't visited yours very much lately--book deadline!
I guess I'm a "other". I didn't see a catagory for a chubby, middle-aged, bifocaled, wheezing, asthmatic Librarian who has loitered here at the "hive" long enough to gather enough inspiration to attempt writing a short story of his own. Who knows, maybe it'll become a long story, or a novella, or a...
I've certainly learned alot from "all y'all" about YA fiction and have enjoyed reading some "Buzz Books". In fact, one thing I've learned is that my Libraries don't have many "Buzz Books". A fact that I'm in the process of rectifying!
BTW, I see Tina went with #4. She's got the "Wendy Toliver head tilt" thing working! Me likes!
Chuck, didn't realize I chose the Wendy Toliver pose, but considering she's as cute as a button, I couldn't be happier!
I jumped into my answer. If I had not been all "OOOO, Aspiring YA author. Click." I would have gone with other. I am also a fan of YA. Such a fan that I tend to buy more than one copy of a book.
But I am two of those D: Argh.
Anyways, I am aspiring YA author (Um, not going to be published, if at all, for many years. Still only 13.) and a fan of Ya in general. Whoo.
Great poll, TLC. And thanks to those of you who came out of hiding. It's really fascinating to see who is reading.
Chuck~ Who knew we had so much in common? We asthmatics rule. :)
Hi,
I guess I'm "an other." I write short stories for kids and adults and have done some ghostwriting. I'm currently working on several projects. But the most importantly, I'm a big fan of all the Buzz Girls, especially Tina!
Janie
Thanks, Janie, and as you know, I'm a big fan of your writing, too!
I am a retired teacher, grandmother, compulsive reader who just googled "books for boys" and followed my heart and head and somehow I ended up at this blog. I am going to buy OH my Gods for mayself and maybe my grand daughter.
