Who’ll Be First?

This is our final week of A Day in the Life, and we’re focusing on buzz, or anything in our pop culture. Keeping our theme in mind, here are photos from three popular movies:

American Graffiti

The Wizard of Oz

Groundhog Day

Who'll be the first to tell us their common thread, why I’ve chosen them for this blog?

Then...who can jump in with other theme-appropriate movie titles?

  1. Okay, you have me *totally* stumped. I so suck at lateral thinking. Wait, maybe I have an idea. Does it have something to do with timeframe?

    Hi Tina,
I know the answer, so I won't guess. As for you're other question, I can't think of three movies. But have do have to say that the new movie Made of Honor seems like the exact plot of My Best Friend's Wedding...in reverse.

  4. Well, I think I have it, but I don't want to ruin it! Um, other movies in this theme...

    Breakfast Club
    Ferris Bueller's Day Off
    Can't Hardly Wait
    One Fine Day

    How'd I do?

And Janie, I so hope that Made of Honor has a different ending than My Best Friend's Wedding! I always root for Patrick to get the girl. =)

  7. Breanna,

Dazed and Confused--for sure. Bill and Ted--yeah, I think so. I haven't seen the other two movies, so I'm not sure, but I'd say you cracked the code!

Anyone want to spell it out?

  8. Oh man you haven't seen The Goonies or Adventures In Babysitting?! You should see them! Oh man, they are excellent!

Anyway to "crack the code" its movies that happen over the course of one day.

  10. Thanks, Breanna!

And Anon--sounds like you got it right. I'll admit it's been YEARS since I've seen Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club, so I can't remember the time frame, but if they all happen in one day...then, yeah.
