DISCOVERING New Vegan Recipes

Hooray! It's another release week celebration here on the Buzz blog. Five cheers for Marley on the release of the fifth book in the Ghost Huntress series, The Discovery. As part of our week long celebration, we're talking about discoveries.

Since I became vegan more than a year ago (wow, has it been that long?) I've had to cook a lot more of my own food that I used to. Vegan options aren't always plentiful or tasty. So I'm always on the lookout for great new recipes. I have a few key sources for trustworthy ones.

Do you cook a lot or are you more of an eat out kind of person? Would you rather drive through, sit down, or stir up something on the stovetop? If you have a great source for recipes (vegan or otherwise) please share.

Marley's giving away a very cool prize pack this week. Comment on my post (and every post this week) to enter.

Hugs,
TLC

My parents make some really good food, so we rarely eat out. I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but I admire people who have that kind of discipline. I really want to learn how to cook before I leave my house for college (which is only in a few years).

P.S. This doesn't have to do with recipes, but I usually hate Tuesdays. But this Tuesday (today) I came home to an awesome surprise: my pre-ordered copy of The Discovery came in!!! Whoop-whoop!!

Oh, we eat out all the time since our schedules are so crazy. I can't stand sitting down to eat since I don't do it very often. I only ever do that when my frineds are over since that's what they like to do.

I prefer to stay home and cook than go out.I love coming up with a new dish idea. And when time is short I like to go to the Kraft Whats Cooking site and finding something fast to whip up.

My friend, Vegan Mel, took me to this amazing restaurant in Atlanta (http://www.cafesunflower.com/) and their food is to die for. They used to have recipes on their website...maybe you can just get ideas from their menu.

I love to cook on the weekend or days off during the week when I don't feel rushed and I can enjoy the entire experience...during the week, I would love to eat out every night if it wouldn't break the bank!!

I like to eat home cooked meals. But I have to say I am not a chef. So I mainly eat out.

I'm a strict vegetarian and have contemplated the idea of going vegan, at least as a test run. One of my biggest problems is finding places to eat out with vegetarian options--most places have like one dish. Have you found any restaurants (maybe chains) that offer a good selection? I'd love to know if you do!

I love to cook and thus have a huge shelf of cookbooks to expand my horizons. I love any kind of food but lean toward fresh, healthy Mediteranian/ Middle Eastern style food made with local veggies. One of my favorite cookbooks is the Moosewood series. Love them all.
