My favorite bad boy

is Robert Downey Jr. Sigh. I can't help it, I just love the man. I don't run around cyber stalking him or anything, but anytime his gorgeous face graces my TV screen, I'm instantly mesmorized!

It started with Less than Zero(which now has a six degrees connection with the buzz girls thanks to Simone!), and his heartbreaking role as Julian Wells, the spoiled teen drug addict. I still cry at the end even though I've seen it twenty times.

Even though he's been arrested several times and is an admitted drug addict. I can't help myself from drooling over him. I really do love his acting. He always seems to get so into his characters. I think he's one of those truly tortured artists. I haven't heard much about Robert lately, I'm hoping he's staying out of trouble. But why do we love bad boys so much?
Is it the drama? Is it because we know we wouldn't REALLY want them in real life? Or is it just because they are so dang smoking? Who is your favorite bad boy?

BTW, my favorite RD Jr. movies is Chances Are and Only You. I could watch them both a hundred times.

Isn't he adorable?

Robert Downey, Jr. is so talented, it's ridiculous. Yeah, he's had a lot of troubles, but most people who are THAT talented and creative do tend to be self destructive. He was amazing in CHAPLIN -- should have won the Oscar for that. But my favorites are CHANCES ARE and ONLY YOU (which I watched last weekend for the 100th time.)

ONLY YOU is one of my all-time favorite movies, too! I own a copy and watch it again and again. But for so long, when I'd watch it, I'd shake my head and think it was too bad RD, Jr., had thrown all that talent and opportunity away. Now, of course, he's back on track and as glorious as ever, so I can simply lose myself in that fabulous movie again.

Great choice for a Buzz Boy, Steph!

That's hilarious... I was thinking how much I loved ONLY YOU way back when and was thinking of hitting the video store to see if I can find it... Now I'll have to!

Hi Steph,
I haven't seen any of these movies, but I will now. Robert Downey Jr is adorable.

Whenever I sit myself down for a RD Jr. fest it's those exact two movies I pull out first! I think the thing with him is that he really comes off as a bad boy. He's so boyish in everything he does, even nowadays, so while he's kind of tortured and dark, there's this feeling of vulnerability or something around him.

And his father gave him drugs when he was eight years old. You can't exactly blame the boy himself for that, so I've always felt a bit protective of him, too. I think that's when bad boys are most attractive, when they have some kind of hidden pain that needs attention... haha. Just look at Logan Echolls from Veronica Mars...

I love me some RD Jr. Did you see him as one of the jerks in Weird Science? That's the first movie I remember him being in. He was adorable on Ally McBeal, too. He may have been the shark that show jumped, though....
