So maybe this isn't a huge secret, but I'm with Dona about loving animals!
And what better animal to be totally in love with than my own kitty Harper!
And look what the delightful diva is doing since it started raining (aka Fall begins) in Seattle. Whevener I dry out my umbrella by the radiator, the cat lays out like Cleopatra. She thinks it's her own private parasol. Notice the toy mouse in her paw, courtesy of my Dad who brought it for her as a present.
And here she is distracting me (in a loving way) on blog day -- notice the t-shirt I'm wearing!
Harper wants to write a book, too -- but she's having trouble typing, so she's dictating it to me. So far, it's a bunch of meowing about hot boy cats and bitching about mice. (Not the toy ones, she loves those because they're packed in catnip --not that my cat does drugs, I'm just saying...)
Also, she's not big on revisions and never wants to repeat if I miss a word, so sometimes I make stuff up -- mostly stuff I think she'd say about cleaning herself and scratching and stuff about how she wishes she could be a little neater in the litter box.
Of course, sometimes she asks me to read it back to her and I'm in big trouble because as she puts it, "she'd never write that boring crapola."
That's it -- now you know. I love my kitty. I'm not a cat lady -- I don't have twenty-nine of them or anything, but Harper has taught me you can teach a dog-lover new tricks.
Meow and Happy Halloween!! (I'm dressing as a Girl Pirate in the morning and Holly GoLightly at night. Harper refuses to dress up.)
Hugs,
Heather & You Know Who

Heather, I've got Harper's male counterpart, Rascal, who rules the roost in my house. They are similar in appearance--and probably temprament. I'd hold Rascal up to the screen to check her out, but he's a little busy at the moment...taking his 30th nap of the day...
ohh, Harper is so cute....such a little Princess! I have to come over and see her!
Cute post, Heath. Harper is getting sooo big! Maybe she could co-author your next book? =)
She is getting so big! I bet she will make an incredible lap warmer this winter! :)
Awwww...Heather! Harper certainly is growing up. She's simply gorgy! Give her a big hug from all of us.
