The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

While Andy Williams might argue with me, I think early autumn is the most wonderful time of the year.

Where I live in Utah, there are all sorts of trees covering the mountains, so they are spectacularly multicolored come late September/early October.

Here are some other things I love about this time of year:

Footall season (Go Broncos!)

Seasonal foods and drinks like soup, pumpkin rolls, spice cake (with cream cheese frosting), red wine, and hot tea

Fall fashion (especially boots)
Halloween (costumes and candy, what's not to love?)

Warm days, chilly nights (perfect for snuggling up with someone you love)

What's your favorite time of year, and why?

I agree 100%, especially having just spent a weekend in Utah last month--which was technically still summer, but the trees were starting to turn and the air was crisp, so it felt autumn-ish!

Since Halloween is ur fav time it is onbvious Fall with all the colors is ur fav season. Lov eth epicture of the boots- U wear them so well. The picture of little D in his Bee costume is priceless. He is less than thrilled tho he did like the bee goodie bag. After he was bitten by the bee it was an obvious selection for his costume. It was so much fun picking it out. I appreciate the picture.

I love this time of year because of football season. College football, that is. Love the crisp smell in the air and the way the leaves start turning. Love the excitement of game day on Saturday...especially when your team (Roll Tide!) is doing well.

And, of course, October is "Christmas season" for us ghost hunters. LOL!!

Tina, I am so glad you got to come to Utah last month! So fun!

Anna, I was going to write to tell you a photo of D in the bumblebee costume you sent him was up but you beat me to it! Our little haunted house advent calendar is being filled with candies right now and the "You smell dead" bag is on the banister, waiting to be used.

Mar, so cool your team is doing well. Wish I could say the same about the Broncos today, but oh well. There's always next Sunday.

I am with ya, babe. I almost busted out my boots on Friday! *But I didn't* I'll bet Utah would be gorgeous! We are in the Shenandoah River Valley, which is pretty darn beautiful as well.

Chai and pumpkin spice lattes, sweaters...*sigh*

I heart fall.

This is my favorite time of the year, too, and not just because Halloween (my favorite holiday) happens during it. ;)

Hi back atcha!

My friends and I used to say that chai is "fall in a glass." Yes, we are lame, but we admit that proudly. :D

Oooh! I love fall, too. It's just starting to get really pretty around here. Summer's great, but it never really started up here this year, so bring on the drifting, crunchy leaves!
