I spent the week wracking my brain trying to figure out what exactly I know about guys that I didn't back in high school. I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't think I know a whole lot more than I did when I was a teenager. What I do know is that guys don't really change much. Let me give you some examples and see if you agree with me.
1) They still think bodily functions are the funniest thing on the planet.
2) They still like girls with big boobs.
3) They still only pick the movies where stuff gets blown up, or where the lead female has big boobs, or both.
4) They still eat like pigs and manage to stay remotely healthy.
5) They still dream about being (or are) firefighters, cops, bull fighters, or porn stars.
6) There's just something about a guy who smells good, no matter how ugly he is.
7) They still don't know quite what to say when we cry.
8) They still don't understand the volatile nature of our female friendships.
9) They still don't pick up their clothes.
10) They still make us laugh like we did before we had mortgages and sick kids. And that's why we keep them around!
So, do you agree?

Do I agree? I do, I do! Great post.
And here's another one to throw into the ring: they still try to tell us how to FIX life's little problems, when all we're looking for is the opportunity to vent...
Hmm, mine doesn't do any of these, so I don't guess I can relate.
As the sponsor of the high school guitar club at school now I have dozens of males coming up to me to talk about amps and spewing music babble, that's the thing that reminds me of him on a daily basis, the kids gazing fondly at their guitars. I gave him a copy of Speak and he stayed up all night reading it. We watch the L word together and commented on how cool that no-one had fake or unnatural boobs....
I agree on most counts. But not all. I did marry a nerd though, so maybe that accounts for some of the discrepancies!
Cute post though, Steph!!! :)
ps-I've nominated you for a Rockin' Girl Blogger Award, though technically y'all are a gaggle of girl bloggers. anywho...
I totally agree. Watching my teen son and my husband has been enlightening. They aren't really that different, only one is balding and the other isn't. LOL

So true, Steph! And so funny...

Aw Steph, that's awesome. Besides the fact that I totally love lists, it's all so true. (And beyond comprehension, but that's another story...)
Oh, and the smelling nice thing? Totally my weakness. Sometimes I take a discreet inhale when a guy walks past and it's amazing how my mind/body reacts. If he's hot, but there's no yummy cologne, suddenly he's not so hot anymore...
This is awesome Stephanie! And soooooo true! Fab post!
Hugs,
Marley = )
