Fall Means Movies...

Fall is movie time for me. It's the best time of year to hunker down in a darkened theatre and watch a great flick. And, most of the studios release their heavy hitters in hopes of catching Oscar votes.

I've always loved movies -- in fact, I was a film major in college, and I'm sure my love of story (which began with those on the big screen) led me to becoming a novelist.

There are so many good movies coming out this time around!

First of all, I can't wait to see Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist! It's from a popular YA novel -- yay! Have you seen it yet?

The other movies on my list are:

Choke -- saw this one -- it was awesome, but pretty graphic, so not for everyone.

The Mysterious Case of Benjamin Button -- this is the Brad Pitt movie where he ages backward.

Religilous -- this is the Bill Maher documentary about religion in America (from the Borat producters.)

Also, there is a Leo DiCaprio movie coming out soon that looked really good, but the name escapes me.

So, what are you excited to see this fall? And more importantly, did you like Nick and Norah?

Hugs,

Heather

Um... duh! How could I forget Twilight? I love the actress playing Bella -- wasn't she in In the Land of Women with Meg Ryan?

Yes, Heather, same actress. Kristen Stewart. I first noticed her in the Lifetime version of "Speak," Laurie Halse Anderson's wonderful book.

I'm looking forward to Twilight, HSM 3, Benjamin Button (he looks like he did in "Meet Joe Black"...handsome, handsome, handsome) and the new James Bond, "Quantum of Solace." I was really looking forward to the next Harry Potter installment, too, until they moved it to next year! Gah!
