Treasures...

Every single time I suffer through two days of having a rummage sale, I swear I'm not buying another thing as long as I live. Yeah, that usually lasts about two days. In my defense I was actually browsing eBay with a specific purpose today.

My youngest son is obsessed with the movie Ghost Busters. He has been talking for months about his Halloween costume as Venkman. So I started out looking for patches to put on his costume. When I ran into this..

a vintage GB backpack!! And the bidding was only open for another hour. I mean seriously, people, if that isn't kismet I don't know what is. Of course, I ruthlessly waited until the last two minutes of bidding then swooped in and won it. He is going to freak! He'll want to wear this thing to bed and I can hardly wait to give it to him. I can't help but wonder who's basement this thing has been collecting dust in for the last twenty-five years.

Have you found an absolute treasure on eBay that you just couldn't live without?

xo,

Stephanie

Oh, Steph, that is SOOOO much fun! I don't do much eBay shopping, but for a long time I have been looking for a copy of my high school yearbook on there for a close friend from that class whose *awful* ex took hers when they split. I'd love to find one and surprise her with it after all these years. And when I do, you'll all be hearing my shouts of joy!

that's great!!!
the best thing I've ever found on eBay was a set of gorgeous, funky wine glasses that I gave to my in-laws for a gift.

Oh man...that's AWESOME!!! I needed 3,000 envelopes one time for a direct mailing project and got them for $30 on eBay...a total steal! = )

Ha, that was great. My son loved Ghostbusters 2 when he was about 7 - somehow, pink slime taking over the world was hilarious to him. I only buy "World's Greatest Invention" items on ebay. I am in serious need of a rummage sale, btw.

Question - How did he become obsessed with a 26 yr. old movie? Are the parental units watching it all the time? ;)

I found a sweet little uke on "ePray". (You send someone $$$ and pray they send you something in return)

I haven't ever bought anything on ebay, but I am glad that you found such a fun find. It is always interesting to see what younger generations enjoy from past generations.
