It got me thinking of all the different kinds of treats that come out just at the holidays. I remember my grandma making divinity in the past. I never really cared for it but it reminds me of her. Sadly, I hardly ever see it anymore. I do love peanut brittle though. My husband goes crazy for fudge. My kids are wild for candy canes and my stepbrother loves egg nog. I'm even planning my first attempt at gingerbread people in a few weeks.
What is your favorite treat this time of year?

Many years ago--before marriage and kids--I started buying holiday items from Swiss Colony. (No, this is not a paid advertisement.) Anyway, they have these cracker spreads called Incredible Spreadables that my kids will tell you are an integral PART of the holidays for us. Check out Smokin' Bacon and French Onion! =)
My girlfriend makes the best sugar cookies. I have been bugging her for a few years for the recipe. Well she finally handed them over. No wonder they taste so good, they take 2 days to make. So I have decided just about any treat tastes good (as long as someone else makes it!)

Yum, Steph! My dad makes my favorite holiday bread - with chocolate, mandarins, maraschinos, coconut, almonds, figs -- it is soooo good. He calls it Gift of the Magi bread since there are so many yummy treasures inside.
Thanks alot - now I am starving for sweets!
My favorite treat is a Coca Cola from a holiday themed can!
Omigosh, the reindeer cookies are adorable!!! I don't think I have a particular favorite treat, but here are some I do love:
1. Koulourakia (Greek butter cookies)
2. Sharie's chocolate-covered pecan clusters
3. Peppermint bark
4. Nuts and bolts (my family's homemade Chex Mix)
Oh, I could go on.... Especially since I haven't had *any* of these yet this year. Sigh. Off to bake.
Those reindeer cookies are THE CUTEST thing I've ever seen! Do you put the pretzels on after they bake?
