Winner + Teen Day Reminder!

Last Monday we chatted about “what comes next after high school?” and as promised, I am announcing the winner of a signed copy of my book, HOW TO HOOK A HOTTIE, which deals which such issues. The winner is:

GIRLS COOKING GAMES

So Girls Cooking Games, please e-mail me at admin@tinaferraro.com with your contact information so I can get it in the mail to you.

And a reminder to all of our readers that Tera Lynn Childs, Heather Davis, Marley Gibson, Dona Sarkar-Mishra and I will be among the teen authors appearing at Teen Day at the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention next Saturday in Los Angeles. The day starts with a huge book fair where readers can meet with scores of romance authors. The teen authors will have their own rows, all together, for easy access. Then all of the YA gang will move into various activities like meets-and-greets, interesting talks, author readings, one-on-one "speed dates," and then all followed by a teen party. We hope to see lots of you there!

Rita, Purina, and Romantic Times

First off, let me join in on the buzz and congrats for Bee Heather on her fabulous Rita Award nomination for her book, THE CLEARING. I adored this book from the second I started reading it and knew it was something special. So proud of Heather and wish her luck at the awards ceremony!

Secondly, I've entered a little contest of my own. My fiance, Patrick Burns, and I have done a video application to be Purina's first Cat Chow Correspondents. Check it out and leave a comment for us, if you will.

Thirdly, I'm getting ready to join everyone out in Los Angeles for the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention where they're featuring teen reads. There's going to be a huge Teen day with book signings and speed reading "dates" with teen authors, as well as panels, discussions, giveaways, and more. My awesome publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has donated a ton of not only my GHOST HUNTRESS series, but also Heather's Rita nominated THE CLEARING. So exciting! And, I'm doing a ghost hunting basket giveaway including my series, my how-to book, some basic ghost hunting equipment and more fun stuff.

To celebrate all the good things going on, I'm going to give away an advanced copy of my upcoming May release, GHOST HUNTRESS: THE DISCOVERY.

Just leave a comment here in the trail or on my YouTube video, to be entered to win. I'll announce the winner next Wednesday.

Hugs,
Marley = )

The Only Constant is Change...

Oh, how I miss summer! Here's a picture of beautiful Myrtle Edwards Park in Seattle, right on the Sound, on a sunny day in August. In the Northwest, we've just been through a brief snowstorm, like much of the country, and I'm pining for the warmth of the sun...

Thankfully, the seasons will change. Just like with everything in life, change is imminent. You wait a little and then boom, everything's different.

The new year has had a few changes for me already - my cover for Wherever You Go is undergoing a makeover, I'm looking at moving to a new apartment soon, things at my day job office are changing, I'm getting ready to launch a new author website. And who knows what else is coming my way? You can bet that the moment you think something is settled, it's so not. That's what makes life fun and frustrating in alternating amounts.

Anyway, spring is coming eventually, and many of the Buzz Girls will be headed to Los Angeles for the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention to participate in the special Teen Day signing and festivities. That's one thing I'm really looking forward to this spring.

How about you? What are you looking forward to in the early part of this year?

Hugs,

Heather
