What I do when searching for inspiration....

I haven't been extremely motivated to write lately. It isn't that I don't want to, it's just that I'm not feeling pulled by a particular project. When this happens (which is frequent, scarily enough)I become extremely dangerous. That means that the time I would usually spend writing is spent either driving my husband crazy telling him how bored I am or spending money.
Then I remembered that a certain bunny is scheduled to make an appearance next weekend and I hadn't done much in the way of baskets yet. I started at Target. I had good intentions of value-priced DVD's, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and a chocolate bunny or two. Yeah. $160 later.
I blame the Peeps. It's sugar coated in sugar, people. It makes you do crazy things. I swear every year I get a Peeps hangover and then have to do the walk of shame out of the retail establishment I've humiliated myself in. Not that they didn't love to see me coming but I'm pretty sure the cashier wanted to remind me that it was Easter, not Christmas.
So I walked out with Easter grass, Nerds, Sweettart Gummy rabbits, tons of chocolate bunnies, sidewalk chalk, stuff for a glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt, coloring books, markers, bug sunglasses, a make your own book kit, sandbox tools, stickers, and I can't even remember what else. I got home to a package on the front porch of new Crocs that I had ordered for them for Easter and had completely forgotten about!
My son is going to freak when he sees these!
I don't think even half of this stuff is going to fit in their baskets.

This makes me crack up every year!
Then I found the cutest idea about making rabbits tracks on the floor through the house with floor. I can hardly wait to see the looks on their faces that morning. And I'm fairly certain that once I'm done cleaning up the flour I'll be ready to get back to writing!
Do you go overboard for holidays like I do?
