Fins, Fins Everywhere!

It seems almost hard to imagine, but the release week for FORGIVE MY FINS is finally here! You might think it gets a little easier or a little less extraordinary after two books, but let me tell you the third book release is just as exciting/terrifying/hopeful/busy/nervewracking as the first. I'm glad you and the Buzz girls are here to celebrate the craziness with me.

Because FORGIVE MY FINS is the realization of a life-long mermaid fantasy (I still dream of my legs magically turning into fins) all this week we'll be talking about childhood dreams. For anyone who hasn't heard the scoop, here's the blurb:
Lily Sanderson has a secret, and it's not that she has a huge crush on gorgeous swimming god Brody Bennett, who makes her heart beat flipper-fast. Unrequited love is hard enough when you're a normal teenage girl, but when you're half human, half mermaid, like Lily, there's no such thing as a simple crush.

Lily's mermaid identity is a secret that can't get out, since she's not just any mermaid—she's a Thalassinian princess. When Lily found out three years ago that her mother was actually a human, she finally realized why she didn't feel quite at home in Thalassinia, and she's been living on land and going to Seaview High School ever since, hoping to find where she truly belongs. Sure, land has its problems—like her obnoxious biker-boy neighbor, Quince Fletcher—but it has that one major perk: Brody. The problem is, mermaids aren't really the casual dating type—the instant they "bond," it's for life.

When Lily's attempt to win Brody's love leads to a tsunami-sized case of mistaken identity, she is in for a tidal wave of relationship drama, and she finds out, quick as a tailfin flick, that happily ever after never sails quite as smoothly as you planned.
Regular Buzz blog readers know that when there's a release week, there's usually a giveaway, too. Well, guess what? There is a giveaway, too! Every day this week I will give away a signed, hot-off-the-presses copy of Forgive My Fins to one lucky winner in the US/Canada. That's seven days, seven copies, seven chances to win. Comment every day for your best odds!

To enter today's giveaway, tell me:
Water. Love it, hate it, or fear it?
Good luck and thanks for making this week extra special.

Hugs,
TLC

PS -- Want more chances to win? Want to help protect the oceans? Pop over to my personal blog, where I'm giving away another seven books this week and making a donation to Oceana for every comment.

Yay for a release week :) I can't wait to read Forgive My Fins!

I love looking at water, but sometimes huge bodies of water that I can't see the other side freak me out a bit.

Congrats on the release!

I'm in love with water. I like swimming in it, paddling, paddle boarding, snorkeling, scuba diving, floating in my bath tub, etc. I have yet to meet a water activity I didn't like. As a child I would often pretend to be a mermaid so I could live in the water and never have to leave the beach. Basically I am water obsessed.

I love looking at the water. The ripples on the surface are beautiful. However, I do fear it to some extent. It all depends on the depth of the water. Why? Let's just say that I had an...accident with water when I was young and it almost cost me my life.

I LOVE to drink it, but scared to swim in it lol.

Let's just say that I have a healthy respect for the ocean and all the things that lurk beneath it, but I'd rather be looking at it from a safe distance! I do love the beach, though.

I love swimming and scuba diving, but I hate getting salt water in my mouth, and I'm not a fan of the lingering feeling of being dripping wet afterward. During the time that I'm in the water, though, it's wonderfully tranquil.

Congratulations on the new release! I'm looking forward to celebrating all week long.

WATER LOVE for me,so much so that I love lazing in the bath-tub for hours! Any kind of water body has a soothing, calming effect on me. I love the rippling effect a falling leaf or stone creates on the water. I can spend hours just sitting by the sea or pool or lake with my feet dipped in the water. When I was younger,I spent nearly all my summers swimming! That was so refreshing! The mysteries of the life beneath water also interests and intrigues me. I love all kinds of water activities too.

Congrats on the release of the book :)

LOVE IT!
I've always been a water girl. I was in the water till I was forced to get out. My mom used to swear I was part mermaid.

I'm fear it. I can't swim at all. I stand in water. I went to Typhoon Lagoon at Disney World and I spent the whole day on a tube in the lazy river.

Huge congrats--love, love, love the cover! (P.S. I don't loved water--have been terrified of it since I was a kid.)

Water from inside shallow places? Love it! Deep without any support? Fear it.

Congrats on your release, Tera, and I'm looking forward to all the stories and comments this week!

I'm international so I can't play for a copy of Forgive My Fins but I just wanted to chime in and say congrats on the book! I love the title and the premise sounds awesome!

And for the record, I am terrified of water ever since I saw Jaws when I was 8!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the water! I feel so calm and relaxed; I've traveled a fair amount, but whenever I come to water, pool, ocean, or lake; when I can smell it because it's so close, those are the places that I am home.

Relax, TLC, you did all the hard work, and all the awesomeness--Your book is going to be a super it--You already have tons of fans!--and now you just need to relax and be adored...right before you get back to work on the next one... :)

I loved the swimming pool so much when I was a kid! My friend and I would play mermaids by the hour...much more fun than Marco Polo. So I'm really looking forward to reading Fins and renewing my mermaid fantasy!

And I love being near the ocean. I'm not as much of a swimmer as I used to be, especially in the ocean (it has things in it! Things! Some are alive! Even worse, some used to be alive and aren't anymore!) but I love sitting by the waves... ;-)

I love the water, but I prefer a pool over the ocean!

Have a Happy Release week Tera!:)

I would have to say I dislike water period. I used to like it but now I just don't want to go in. I guess it all comes in due to the fact I hate sea weed, and for pools because I go to a community pool. And to think of everything that happens there I don't want to know.

But I do love sitting on the beach with a good book and getting a tan (naturally)! :)

Happy release week! I love water, it is amazing, my mom used to take swim classes with me when I was like 6months old, so I have been in the water my whole life. (I also used to pretend I was a mermaid!)

Aliya said...

Love looking at water and love swimming...to an extent. So long as there are no fish/sharks in sight and I have a cute bathingsuit I'm fine ;)

Oh! And congrats on the release!!! Listen to nymfaux, your book is going to be awesome :)

I love water! I honestly can't enough of it. My best friend predicts that I will either turn into a mermaid someday or that I'm descended from one!

Can't wait to read your book!

I have been dying for Forgive My Fins to come out, and I already can't wait for the next one! Congrats on your release week, Tera!

I absolutely adore the water and I spend every possible day that I can in my pool, swimming laps, splashing my friends, or just floating. I swear that my fingers are permanantly pruny from all the time that I spend in the water.

Yay for release week! Congrats Tera! :) I am so excited for Forgive My Fins.

I love the water. It is gorgeous to look at and swim in, even if I am a little paranoid about jellyfish stings and shark attacks!

It's not that I fear water. It is my element (Zodiac sign is Cancer and it's element is water), it's just that I don't know how to swim. Not cool I know, but I do love bathing in it, wading in it in a pool, lake or the ocean.

Thank you for the chance of winning Forgive My Fins.

I love the water ---- I love swimming laps. I love listening to the ocean. I love listening to water features. I, however, hate crossing bridges. That completely freaks me out for some reason. There is one bridge in my town that I will not even drive over because it terrifies me so much. I guess it's because I am scared to death of heights and bridges are high.

I love the water. I always thought I was the little mermaid and it would hours before I agreed to get out of the water no matter how cold. As I have gotten older I have learned to repect the water because of how powerful it is. Congrats on the release I can't wait to read it!

i used to be afraid of water...but then i taught myself to swim and now i love it!!! i love being pulled around in the ocean waves!!!

Forgive My Fins looks sooooo good!!! I can't wait to read it! :)

I love love love love love love love love water. I am Orca junior (my aunt is Orca senior). I usually spend my entire summer in the pool, or at least whenever I can. When I go to the beach, I swim out to the buoys (is that how you spell it?). Though I sometimes wonder what might be lurking underneath the water, I still enjoy it. I guess I'm mostly a pool girl when it comes to water, buy, hey, I still love it!! <3333

I'm so excited that's it the release week! I want to read it so bad! As for water, I love pools, baths, anything where water is contained and there isn't anything not human swimming in it, but I'm not a big fan of lakes, oceans, rivers etc...Thinking of everything that I can't see freaks me out!

Love it and absolutely respect it. It is dangerous and powerful, yet beautiful and breathtaking.

I LOVE water!!! I ecspecailly love to swim and kayak in it!! :) The only time I DON'T like water is when it SUPER hot in the shower, but that's an obvious answer...

Yay!! Congrats on your newest release. Whooo hooo! *throws confetti at you* I shall eat a bowl of cereal to celebrate. Rasin Bran Crunch or Kix? :)

Okay, I love the water. But... not the ocean. It's too scary for me. The man eatting sea creatures, the jelly fish I might step on and have to have someone pee on me. Blah. But, I do love the springs and rivers. Yep, I am a fresh water gal. I love going to the springs early in the morning and peeking over the jumping dock into the crisp cold water at all the fishes and turtles swiming about. :)

I love water, it has the cleaning factor, it is relaxing to listen to the sound of my neighbours garden fountain, I drink lots of it and love swimming. What but I really am sad about whats happening now with the leaking oil in the Gulf of Mexico, the same counts for huge floods

I love water--hearing the crashing waves at the beach or a gurgling mountain stream. I love being held up by the ocean swells or canoeing through the rocky, winding waters of the Muscatatuck. Today I take my daughter to the pool for the first summer visit--not quite the ocean or mountain stream, but it will have to do until we manage our next creek hike.

This book is so beautiful. Congrats on the big release. I have already seen this book everywhere and heard some amazing things about it. I'd love to see it in person.

I was just in the water yesterday :) I love it! We went to a local lake and it was amazing. Then I sat (read a book, obviously) and just enjoyed the calmness around me. I don't get to do that often but it was so relaxing.

Love, love, love it! That is in a swimming pool. The ocean is a terrifying thing (not living near one) so although it's magnificent, I fear the deep dark depths and power of it:)

I Think Every Little Girl Dreams Of Becoming A Mermaid In Her Lifetime. I Always Wanted It To Happen To Me Because I Believed It Would Cure My Fear Of The Ocean.. LOL!

Happy release week!

I LOVE the water. I have to have a pool because I've had one since I was born and you can find me in there just about every day in the summer. I also never want to get out of the shower, even though I know I shouldn't be wasting water.

Congratulations!

I am scared of water, it is something I have never been comfortable with. One day I hope to conquer this fear though because it is so beautiful and everything within it (i.e. the ocean) is amazing and "magical".

Hmm, it's kind of a complicated relationship. There's something very mesmerizing about watching water, something very majestic about the sheer magnitude and beauty of it. But at the same time, the mysterious depths are a little scary too.

hmm.
It depends. I normally like water. Except large bodies of water. They kind of give me the creeps.
And the deep end of the pool isn't so great either.
