What's your favorite shade?

I do strange things when I'm trying to avoid working. Like Googling OPI nail polish just to read the new names of their nail polishes. I know, right? But I found this one and it made me think of the Bees. It's called NO BEES PLEASE. Catchy, right?

So it got me wondering if I could find some nail polish names that reminded me of my books(REVENGE OF THE HOMECOMING QUEEN, TWISTED SISTERS). I found quite a few.

FIT FOR A QUEENSLAND

I'M A PRINCESS, YOU'RE NOT

iT'S ALL GREEK TO ME

PRINCESSES RULE

WHO ARE YOU WEARING?

Then I stumbled onto a few that reminded me of Tera's book:(OH. MY. GODS.)

APHRODITES PINK NIGHTIE

DON'T SOCRA-TEASE ME!

MELON OF TROY

TI-TAN YOUR TOGA

I kept seeing all these Chicago ones and thought of Simone and her books: (HOW TO RUIN..LEAVING PARADISE, PERFECT CHEMISTRY)

CHICAGO CHAMPAGNE TOAST

WINDY CITY PRETTY

ROMEO & JULIET

THE GRAPE LAKES

TICKETS TO PARADISE

ALL LACQUERED UP

These reminded me of Marley's books:(ZETA OR OMEGA? THE NEW SISTERS)

PEARLS NIGHT OUT

CHICK FLICK CHERRY

SWEET MEMORIES

I couldn't forget Tina's books:(TOP TEN USES FOR AN UNWORN PROM DRESS)

CONEY ISLAND COTTON CANDY

DRESS TO EMPRESS

WHO NEEDS A PRINCE?

TIJUANA DANCE?

GOT A DATE TO-KNIGHT

Dona's books:(HOW TO SALSA IN A SARI, SHRINK TO FIT)

BIKINI ENVY

CURRY UP, DON'T BE LATE

It was harder with Heather's(NEVER CRY WEREWOLF) since I haven't read the book or seen a cover yet but I gave it a shot:

YOU ROCK-APULCO RED!

GIVE ME THE MOON

Okay, so now you know what I do to avoid work. Are you a sucker for these nail polish names like I am? And what is your favorite way to procrastinate?

xo,

Stephanie~

OMG, I love this! Years ago, a friend gave me a spa pedicure gift certificate where I had my first sighting of OPI nail polish (and their super-clever names). The polish rack was beside my spa chair and I went absolutely nuts, laughing and ooohing and aaahing over the clever names. I finally had to explain to the baffled technician that I was sorta a word freak. :)

P.S. NO BEES PLEASE aside, I think our blog shade should be WE'RE THE BEE'S KNEES.

Cute post, Steph! OPI does have creative polish names. I've only had my nails done a few times in my life, but I have such a hard time choosing between all the fun colors when I go. I know what kind of mood I am in then, but who's to say whether I'm in a turquoise, red, or hot pink mood for the next few days? :)

How fun, Steph! I've been in love with OPI for years (they and ESSIE are my two faves). I actually have (or had?) APHRODITE'S PINK NIGHTIE!

I also claim DANCING IN THE ISLES for my own and I'm loving WHO COMES UP WITH THESE NAMES?

Speaking of colors as opposed to names, my toes are currently painted a beautiful Caribbean shade of blue. Bet Tina and Steph can guess why ... (shhh)

Having never even heard of OPI polishes, I'll stick with the tried and true shades -- Oak tree, followed closely by Maple tree.

TLC, I have Dancing in the Isles too.
Marley, I can't believe you are wearing Pearls Night out, crazy coincedence!
Chuck, I think you should paint your toes blue. :)
Tina, I had never heard the saying Bee's Knees before I read Melissa Walker's Violet series, but I agree! :)
