Over the long weekend and beyond, I got in a mini-vacation in San Francisco. It's one of my favorite places to visit because not only have all my best friends from college ended up there, but so many members of my family as well!
On top of all that, there is so much to see in the city: the architecture, the beaches, the amazing food (Did you know SF is the "tea capital" of the US?), all the cool company campuses (we visited Google, Apple and Lucasfilms!)
Had a fun lunch at Benihana--entertainment + cooking lesson + delicious food!
Teatime with my cousins--on tap...delicious oolong tea!
Some QT with Manav in gorgeous Sausalito downtown--it was chilly on the water! Brr!
Manav had a showdown with Darth Vader at the Lucasfilms office
Did a school visit in my best friend Krish's 4th grade classroom.
They were VERY interested in Stephenie Meyer!
Those were the essentials of my vaca...what did everyone else do over the long weekend?

Tea capital of the US? I would have thought that Boston for historical reasons. Great pictures and looks like a wonderful time, Dona!
Looks like you had an awesome time! I love San Fran! I still cherish the Buzz lunch at that amazing Thai place last summer. = )
I love visiting San Fran!
I haven't been to San Francisco in ages!
When I was 5, I got lost there. Only for a few minutes, but to a 5 year old, that's a lifetime.
Looks like an amazing trip, D. Fourth graders want to know about Stephenie Meyer? I guess that's called reading up, huh?
