Best First Kiss...Evah!

In celebration of Tina's awesome new release, THE ABC'S OF KISSING BOYS, we're talking first kisses. Nothing like them. Nothing like that roller coaster feeling in your stomach with the up and down of anticipation and excitement. And what better way to get that across than on the big screen. I have to say...without a doubt, the best evah on-screen kiss is as follows...

MOULIN a movie...and what a first kiss! Christian and Satine figuring out they're meant to be and sharing an exploding (literally) kiss underneath the loving watch of the songful moon. And of course, it's Ewan that's a bonus! = )

Isn't that what a first kiss feels like? That you're the only two people in the world and the sky explodes in rapture while the moon bursts into song and serenades you?

What was your first kiss like? Were there fireworks and singing? Tell us in the comment section to be entered to win a copy of Tina's awesome book, THE ABC'S OF KISSING BOYS. Winner will be announced next Wednesday!

Marley = )

Wow--what a movie clip! I've actually never seen Moulin Rouge, but now it's going on my Netflix!

My first kiss? No, no fireworks. Under a tree, after school, with a very sweet, cute boy. But I've actually thought a lot about that lately (because of the book) and have decided it was actually quite perfect in a very awkward, first kiss way!

I'm 19 already and have never been kissed. Isn't it a little sad? I always dream about it though. Some suddenly angry kiss that makes me melt in the first 3 seconds. I'd love to have my first kiss in rain too, but yeah, just my imagination.

Super duper nice vid, thanks for sharing Marley! And Tina, your first kiss sounds cute. I'm jealous of you haha,

I've never seen Moulin Rouge, I guess I'll have to check out this awesome kiss! I'll be dishing about my first kiss on Friday but I'm looking forward to reading about everyone else's.

Oh, my God...what is wrong with you people that you haven't seen MOULIN ROUGE? LOLOLOL!!! It's the most perfect, wonderful, emotionally moving movie. I insist that you all watch it ASAP! = )

My first kiss was technically in second grade when I got pecked out on the playground...but I don't think that counts. My first REAL first kiss was in 8th grade at a party where we played some kssing game. I had the HUGEST crush on this guy and I got to kiss him. It was really sweet and nice and yeah...there was music playing in the background and I'm sure I *heard* fireworks...but I didn't actually see them. Hee hee.

Can't wait to read more stories!

No fireworks! Got caught by my father kissing the boy good-bye in my garage.

I'm lazy, the "cut & paste" kind of lazy. This is my comment from the YAFRESH blog.

First kiss facts:
Who: Kerry Goodlife (Aptly named, or so I imagined!)
When: Second grade
Where: Classroom, standing in line, awaiting recess.
Why: It was something that I felt must be done, of course!
How: As the teacher opened the door to "release the hounds" for recess and with my heart about to leap from my chest, I *quickly* pecked Kerry on the cheek in a surprise attack and ran out the door like my pants were on fire! be 7 again!

My first kiss was absolutely terrible. We'd finished high school and were celebrating. The guy tried to stick his tongue all the way down my throat and I almost vomited in his mouth. I never knew that you could extend your tongue so far until that night. Needless to say it was a one and only kiss. The next time I did kiss should have been my first because it was with a boy I really liked and he was so tender and sweet. And there was no tonsil hockey/alien throat probing going on. A starry night around a campfire on a tropical island listening to the waves roll in from the ocean.

Dawn, Chuck & Natalie--your first kiss stories are all a riot. Okay, maybe not so much to you, but they made me laugh!

And Thao, there is no date stamp for a first kiss...only when the time is right!

Thanks for sharing!

It was a kid that lived down the street! I think I was about 13 and looking back, I kinda wish I could take it back!

Ok, Thao. I can totally make you feel better.

I am 21 and have never been kissed.

I feel like I have been waiting for the right guy for awhile and that I just may be getting that kiss soon.

P.S. I LOVE Moulin Rouge!! Ewan McGregor is awesome!

My first kiss was happened when I was about 13 and I was walking home with my boyfriend...we got to his street corner and we shared a brief (and in my mind...oh, so romantic) kiss. No, there were not fireworks but it was sweet.

My first kiss was sloppy, or maybe we were both inexperienced. It was one of those wet kisses that I wish wasn't my first but not can look back and laugh about it. :D

Hugs, danette

**Swoon** I just adored that clip. I had forgotten about that movie until now and I am going to go thru my movie collention to find it.

My first kiss...I am trying to remember,hmmm... no fireworks, it was a younger man who seemed a bit obsessed. I was 12 and he was 9. I kept running away from him while trying to play, and then decided to just get it over with and let him have it. Once the kiss was over we looked at each other and just shrugged and went back to playing basketball.

Don't feel bad girls, for the ones still waiting. I was almost 20. My roommates couldn't believe I'd had a boyfriend for almost 3 months and had never kissed him. They convinced him, something not hard to do, that he should kiss me despite my objections.
Tom and I sat on the couch in my living room, my roommates all slipped to the back bedroom and the song "Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid began to play.
I graciously walked him to the door and told him goodnight. And then he pushed me into the wall and laid it on me.
Holy Cow! He was a talented boy. :)
And even though we didn't last past the end of the semester, my kissing career started. Let's just say I made up for lost time.
I think I kissed 23 (or something like that) boys in the next 18 months.

Thao, you're not alone... I don't really have anything else to say. Kissing just doesn't seem that important in the scheme of things.

Doesn't mean I don't like a good kiss scene in a movie though. ;)

My first kiss was sensational. I had known the boy for about 6 years and we were getting back together after a brief break in our relationship. He has told me he was gonna "give a me a huge kiss" next time he saw me,(which happened to be at the movie theater with some dude watching us, *shudder*) and I beleived him. Waiting was torture that night, and I dreamed and dreamed of what it would be like. I practiced. I worried. I bought gum. Then I saw him again at the theater and I had my head on his chest, with his arm around me. Then he was stroking my face, and when i sighed ( it really does feel good, sighh) he stopped for a second, then put his fingers under my chin and kissed me. I remember a little bit of fear, and no fireworks until I got the hang of it, and ran my tounge across his lips, and he gently rubbed my tounge with his. Then we both sighed at the same time, and thats what made it magical :) It was perfect. I hope u all get your first kisses, and remember, theres no deadline for it ;) Wait for someone u love. <3 I LOVE MAH ALEX!!!! Oh and Sarah Jenson, I loved ure story :) It sounded fun lol :)
