The Buzz Girls are going to be digging deep into our yearbooks, drawers and pasts for our senior yearbook pictures this week, in celebration of high school graduations going on all across the land.
With a husky laugh and a roll of my eyes, I offer up mine:
This was scanned out of my yearbook, for a reason. If you were to look at the yearbook itself, you’d notice something pretty funny. My head is significantly bigger than anyone else’s. This is pretty odd, considering all the photos were taken on our auditorium stage, with the camera and the stool in fixed position. So how is it, in a class of over 500, I am the only one with the “big head?” It’s because someone decided to enlarge my photo to crop off my little bit of cleavage...
Too funny, huh?
Anyway, in celebration of high school graduations--and the fact that my son is among those about to receive a diploma--I am offering a $25 Amazon gift card to one random commenter this week. You can enter as often as you want, and the winner will be announced in my blog post next Monday, Memorial Day, May 30th.
Let’s start the comments/contest entries off with this question: do you like YOUR high school graduation picture? (I think you can tell I’m not real fond of mine!)

I LOVE my high school graduation photo. Mine was taken almost ten years ago in a studio where they put you in all those wraps and the weird leather jacket and give you props and stuff. The guy who took my photos was a trip, he was only supposed to do three poses I think but he kept going on and on about how much fun it was to take my picture so we did like 15 poses. For my year book photo we had to go with the basic black wrap but my hair looks good, my makeup was well done, and best of all I look classic so I won't regret it in 20 years.
Yes, my aunt did go a little crazy and bought a bunch of the other poses so if I ever have the desire I can pull out photos of myself on a teal background wrapped in teal fabric, silver background with silver fabric, and so on. Unfortunately we did not by the one of me in the weird leather jacket.
My grad photo is OK. I remember being pretty ticked off at the time because I was stuck at color guard practice right before the photo was taken. I had to run in from the field to do my hair and makeup in a poorly lit school bathroom.
I hope I will like mine! I am not a senior yet.
Sorry Heather!!
My high school yearbook picture just looks like all of my school pictures: me having a super uncomfortable fake smile. Other than that, I think it's okay.
that is sooo funny about your big head, tina! :) you look adorable though.
I know what you mean Kari. I am like that too.
You look darling as always!
I LOVE that pic! Congrats to your HS graduate! :)
I don't like my picture very well, Tina. I hated the photographer - he was creepy!
Janette I just finished My Unfair Godmother! It was great!
Well, also my real smile is super crooked, and just looks like I'm smirking all the time. And I can't find a copy of MY Unfair Godmother anywhere, but I really want to read it, Janette XD
I usually hate all my photos but I ended up really liking my senior picture
